Effective 31 October 2026
Refund Policy
There is no subscription to cancel: you buy a pack of report credits once, they never expire, and nothing is charged again unless you choose to buy another pack. What follows is when a pack is refunded. The short version is that an untouched pack is refunded in full inside 14 days.
At a glance
| Free reports | No card, no charge, nothing to refund. You can stop using it at any time. |
|---|---|
| Subscriptions | We do not sell any. A pack is a single payment, it never renews, and there is nothing to cancel. |
| Refund window | Full refund on a pack if you ask within 14 days of the payment and have not generated a report with its credits. |
| Partial use | If you have used some of the credits, the unused ones are refunded at the pack price per credit, on request inside the same window. |
| Expiry | Credits never expire, so there is no deadline that forces a refund decision. |
| Our fault | If we duplicate a charge, charge the wrong amount, or stop offering the service, you get the affected money back in full. |
Paid checkout is not connected on this deployment yet, so no card can be charged today. This policy takes effect the moment it is.
1. What you are buying
A pack is a one-off purchase of a number of report credits. The packs are $9 for 3 reports, $29 for 12 reports, $49 for 25 reports, $79 for 40 reports. One credit writes one report, or rewrites one section of a report. Editing text by hand and copying a report are free and use no credit.
Credits never expire. There is no renewal date, no billing period and no cancellation step, because there is nothing recurring to stop. Your balance is shown on your account page.
2. Refund of a pack (14 days)
If a pack is not what you expected, ask within 14 days of the payment and we refund it in full, provided you have not generated a report with any of its credits.
The condition exists because a generated report is the product: it costs us a model call and it is delivered to you in full the moment it appears. If you have already used part of the pack, we refund the unused credits at the pack’s per-credit price, so nobody is asked to pay for reports they did not receive. If something went wrong on our side, we will look at a refund regardless — write to us and explain.
The 14-day window runs from the payment date of that pack. Buying another pack later starts its own window; it does not reopen an earlier one.
3. Duplicate and failed payments
These are refunded in full without argument:
- the same pack charged twice for one order;
- a charge at a price different from the one shown when you bought;
- a payment taken but no credits added to your account, once we cannot add them;
- a charge taken after you asked us in writing to stop billing.
A payment our provider marks as failed or reversed never adds credits, so there is normally nothing to refund — but tell us if your bank shows money gone and your balance did not move.
4. If we stop offering the service
Because credits never expire, we do not pro-rate them by time. If we discontinue Unbillable, unused credits are refunded at the price you paid per credit, and we will tell you by email before the service closes. If we remove something material that you bought the pack for, you can choose a refund of the unused credits instead.
The largest pack we sell is $79 for 40 reports. Prices shown at checkout include any tax we are required to collect; the amount you see is the amount charged.
5. How to ask, and how long it takes
- Email hello@getunbillable.cloud from the address on the account.
- Include the account email, the date and amount of the payment, and one sentence on why.
- We reply within 2 business days. If the refund is approved we confirm it in writing with the amount.
- The money goes back to the original payment method, through the payment provider that took it. That typically lands in 5–10 business days, and the exact timing is the provider's and your bank's, not ours.
You can also use the contact form, but a refund request needs a reply, and mail from the account address is faster to verify and easier to answer. The operator’s postal address is in the imprint.
6. Chargebacks
If something is wrong with a charge, please write to us before asking your bank to reverse it. A chargeback freezes the amount while it is investigated and usually takes longer to resolve than a refund would. We will not cancel an account in retaliation for a chargeback made in good faith, but we will close an account whose charges are repeatedly reversed after the credits were spent.
7. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Where you ask us to start the service immediately, that right can end once the service has been fully performed — which in practice means once a report has been generated with your credits. This policy’s 14-day refund is offered independently of that right, and is usually the easier route.
Unbillable is sold as a business tool. If you are buying for a company, consumer withdrawal rights generally do not apply to you, and this policy is what governs the refund.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change the refund terms, the change applies to packs bought after the new effective date, never to a pack already bought on the old terms.
